The Radius project has obtained an extension to develop its activity for 10 more months, by the European Union Space Program Agency (EUSPA). For this reason, Radius will continue to be developed until October of 2024, instead of until the end of last year, as initially planned.
This extension ensures that all tasks currently underway can be optimally completed. Therefore, Radius will be able to continue on its way and develop the project with maximum guarantees.
Furthermore, the extension will give the partners the opportunity to participate in the upcoming InnoTrans 2024 trade show that will be held in Berlin in September 24-27.
Radius was launched in January 2021 with the aim of designing technological solutions based on drones to improve railway safety. There is currently no optimal solution to inspect, monitor and maintain railway signalling assets. These solutions are based on human inspection, wired solutions and diagnostic trains, which imply high costs and operational constraints.
This temporary extension reinforces Radius' objective to continue working for the future of the railway sector.
